Job Description

Surest Path Recovery Center in Fremont, Ohio is seeking a Director of Administrative Services to oversee on-site HR and administrative operations. This full-time leadership role covers payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, front desk management, and staff training.

Overview

The Director of Administrative Services will lead human resources and administrative functions to support staff performance, regulatory compliance, and organizational efficiency in a healthcare-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer clerical and administrative support to department leaders.
  • Establish and maintain personnel files.
  • Process payroll accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate interviewing and hiring processes for department leaders.
  • Manage benefits administration and respond to related inquiries.
  • Maintain the employee database and ensure data accuracy.
  • Liaise with team members to address benefits questions and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Deliver occasional small-group trainings for staff and community resources.
  • Oversee front desk operations, assist the public, and route incoming calls.
  • Assist the Executive Director with inquiries, presentations, and tours as directed.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures posted on the company portal.
  • Support the Executive Director and department leaders with office tasks as needed.
  • Organize job applications for department leaders to facilitate filling vacancies.
  • Conduct interviews and hires for designated positions as directed by department leaders.
  • Provide staff and community resource training on jobs, benefits, and related topics, ensuring ongoing training per specifications.
  • Keep personnel files current and compliant with applicable state and federal laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead talent acquisition strategies including sourcing, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation to attract top talent, including advertising open positions.
  • Oversee employee relations programs to foster a positive work environment and resolve conflicts through negotiation and conflict management.
  • Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws and related regulations.
  • Manage the HR employee portal to streamline processes for payroll, benefits administration, and data analysis.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems, evaluation procedures, succession planning, and training and development programs to support ongoing growth.
  • Supervise evaluations and program management across teams.
  • Oversee workers’ compensation claims processes while maintaining safety standards in line with OSHA guidelines.
  • Drive HR process improvements through data collection and analysis to optimize organizational design and change management efforts.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supervising HR teams with strong leadership in human capital management and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated expertise in negotiation, conflict management, employee relations, and evaluation techniques.
  • Strong data analysis skills for HR metrics including recruiting trends, performance data, and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in computer use and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to senior leadership and diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing budgets related to HR programs while ensuring contract and policy compliance.
  • Ability to lead change management initiatives effectively in a fast-paced environment and promote continuous improvement.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
