Director of Human Resources (Fractional)
Job Description
Proven Autism Therapies is seeking a Fractional Director of Human Resources to lead people operations, HR strategy, and organizational growth. This part-time position (15-25 hours per week) provides a path to a permanent role and is based in Norwell, MA on a hybrid schedule. Compensation ranges from $45,000 to $60,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Partner with the COO and the executive team to design and implement long-range people strategies aligned with the company mission, vision, and growth targets
- Provide end-to-end oversight of HR functions including talent acquisition, total rewards, employee relations, and organizational development
- Advise senior management on organizational structure, workforce planning, and change management to optimize clinical and operational performance
- Architect and oversee innovative, cost-effective recruitment and branding strategies to attract and retain top clinical and administrative talent in a competitive market
- Direct the design and administration of competitive compensation structures, incentive programs, and comprehensive health, welfare, and PTO benefits
- Lead a performance management culture prioritizing accountability, professional growth, and high retention through continuous feedback and leadership development
- Ensure 100% compliance with federal and state labor laws, with a focus on CT and MA regulations, while implementing HR best practices to mitigate risk
- Manage Paycom HRIS and payroll integrity; use HR metrics, employee satisfaction data, and exit trends to provide actionable insights to the executive team
- Oversee company-wide non-clinical training and compliance programs to meet state, federal, and contractual requirements
Requirements
- 7–10 years of progressive HR generalist experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification strongly preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace; direct experience with Paycom highly preferred
- Deep knowledge of Connecticut and Massachusetts employment laws, regulations, and processes
- High integrity and trust, with a constructive and positive leadership approach
- Ability to manage competing demands and pivot strategies to support a growing organization
- Willingness to travel 25 percent (Required)
