Driver Recruiter

Vista Trans is seeking a remote Driver Recruiter to help grow the driver team by attracting qualified CDL drivers and coordinating closely with dispatch and operations. Based in Huntley, IL with remote work options, the role offers a yearly salary of USD 55,000 to 65,000 and a focus on DOT compliance and reliable transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify CDL driver candidates through job boards, social networks, referrals, and industry platforms
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of driver prospects
• Create and manage job postings to attract high-quality drivers
• Screen applications to evaluate licenses, experience, and endorsements
• Perform phone pre-screens to determine initial fit and qualifications
• Validate CDL licenses, driving records, and required credentials
• Collaborate with dispatch and operations to determine current hiring needs
• Arrange interviews and coordinate subsequent steps in the hiring process
• Keep candidates informed throughout the process
• Ensure recruiting activities align with DOT rules and company policies
• Maintain precise records of candidate status, recruitment activity, and driver documentation

Requirements

• Prior recruiting experience, preferably in trucking or logistics
• Understanding of CDL requirements and DOT regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to assess candidates and provide informed hiring recommendations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting software/platforms
• Experience leveraging social media and online sourcing tools
