Driver Recruiter

JoyRide Logistics, LLC is building a stronger driver pipeline in Phoenix, AZ with a hybrid work setup. This Driver Recruiter role supports candidates from first contact through onboarding, while ensuring every step stays aligned with company and DOT requirements. The position includes a competitive salary range of $55,000 to $70,000 per year based on experience, plus health insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) with matching.

This is an opportunity for an experienced recruiter to manage a high-volume recruiting workflow, coordinate pre-employment requirements, and keep onboarding moving with clear communication to drivers and internal teams.

What you’ll do

• Place high-volume outbound calls to prospective driver candidates.
• Pre-qualify and screen drivers using company and DOT requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of driver communications, follow-ups, and recruiting activity.
• Pull and review key reports, including MVR, PSP, Clearinghouse, and other required driver documents.
• Make decisions to determine driver approval or disqualification based on company hiring guidelines.
• Maintain complete and compliant Driver Qualification (DQ) Files, including licenses, medical cards, reports, and drug test results.
• Update drivers on approval, disqualification, and onboarding status.
• Track onboarding progress using Tenstreet and other company systems.
• Schedule and follow through on pre-employment items such as drug tests, background checks, road tests, employment verifications, and other requirements.
• Support drivers with setting up the Amazon Relay App and completing onboarding steps.
• Schedule driver training and coordinate with trainers.
• Schedule driver orientation, confirm start dates, and communicate orientation details to the right departments.
• Provide a daily summary to the Recruiting Supervisor for drivers scheduled for orientation.
• Maintain a monthly goal of 25–30 qualified new drivers.

What you bring

• 3 years or more of recruiting, staffing, transportation, or driver recruiting experience (previous experience preferred).
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and driver qualification standards (preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple candidates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidential records.
