Job Description

FYI For Your Information Inc is seeking an HR Support Specialist focused on Human Resource Information Systems to support the Policy, Planning, and Analysis Branch in Washington, DC. In this contract role (hybrid), you will strengthen workforce planning and HR analytics while ensuring HR platforms remain secure, accurate, and effective for day-to-day operations.

Your work will connect HR data integrity, reporting, and change management with practical HR information systems administration. You will also support Command Awards program coordination and processing through agency systems and workflows.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide HR support to the Policy, Planning, and Analysis Branch by developing and implementing strategic human capital and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Partner with leadership to design workforce strategies aligned to organizational goals and responsive to mission, technology, and labor market changes.
  • Perform workforce analyses, HR studies, forecasting, and data-driven assessments to identify workforce trends and recommend solutions to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze HR data and produce reports, dashboards, graphics, and visualizations for leadership.
  • Support organizational change management by assessing readiness, leading change efforts, developing performance measures, and applying data analytics to evaluate outcomes.
  • Maintain and enhance HR information systems, including ensuring data integrity and system functionality, supporting testing and reporting, driving process improvements, and meeting information assurance and data security requirements.
  • Manage HR systems access, protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII), administer automated HR systems, and train users on new processes and system functionality.
  • Assist with HR technology implementation and ongoing maintenance.
  • Support Command Awards programs by coordinating award ceremonies, preparing certificates and award materials, processing incentive awards in agency systems, managing nominations and approvals, drafting award packages, and coordinating with Headquarters awards program officials.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience providing Human Resources services in Human Resource Information Systems.
  • Knowledge of Government regulations, policies, and practices under Title 5, United States Code, and other statutes and legal authorities for Federal Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs and technical human resources functions relevant to the program areas described, including examining human resources laws, policies, rules, and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
