Human Resource Specialist
Job Description
The Human Resource Specialist role at Insperity is based onsite in Kansas City, MO, where you will partner with clients to deliver tailored HR solutions and guidance that enhance performance and relationships.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of clients, driving their overall success and growth while maintaining high customer satisfaction and retention.
- Provide guidance to client management and key decision makers using deep knowledge of employee relations, legal interpretation and application, benefits, wage and hour, and performance management and development.
- Work with client leadership to align HR strategies and objectives.
- Consult with client management on HR issues, propose new HR strategies, and offer HR guidance as appropriate.
- Assess current and future HR needs and develop strategies with client leadership to address them.
- Analyze trends by coordinating with internal partners to design solutions, programs, and policies that ensure compliance and reduce risk.
- Build relationships across internal teams and client partners to deliver value-added HR services and solutions to client leadership.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations matters through thorough, objective investigations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal requirements related to daily employee management to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance; collaborate with internal support teams including DEI, FLSA, background screening, benefits, and COEs.
- Provide performance management guidance to client leadership, including conflict resolution, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with client leadership to strengthen work relationships, raise morale, and enhance teamwork to improve employee retention.
- Offer HR policy guidance, interpretation, and best-practice recommendations.
- Provide input on organizational structure and collaborate on workforce and succession planning with client leadership.
- Participate in evaluating and identifying training needs for client leadership to ensure training objectives are met.
- Proactively engage with client leadership to stay aligned with evolving organizational strategy and goals.
- Ensure all client and client-related interactions are properly and timely documented in the appropriate client management systems and databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience is required.
- Two to five years of related Human Resources experience is required.
