Job Description

At Goodman Group McDonald's, the HR team based in Melville, NY supports a busy network of restaurants from the corporate office. The Human Resources Administrator will handle payroll processing and a broad range of HR administrative tasks onsite, including onboarding, employee inquiries, leaves, workers' compensation, and compliance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Handle weekly payroll processing for a network of restaurants
  • Review and complete electronic onboarding for new hires
  • Provide guidance to store managers and staff on payroll and HR inquiries
  • Manage employee injury cases and workers' compensation claims
  • Administer leaves of absence, verify eligibility, and process Disability, FMLA, and PFL paperwork
  • Respond to employment verification requests and generate employment letters
  • Coordinate garnishments with the payroll provider
  • Stay current with new laws and regulations
  • Leverage technology to automate tasks and streamline HR workflows

Requirements

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish (mandatory)
  • 1+ years of HR experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative

Compensation

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

  • NY State employment law familiarity
