Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant supports the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) Human Resources Department with confidential data handling, onboarding coordination, and customer service. This on-site role is based in Genesee, Michigan, with a pay range of $22.79 to $29.97 per hour and requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field along with at least three years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of assigned tasks and special projects to support the goals and objectives of the Human Resources Department.
  • Maintains the integrity of confidential employee information, including demographic data, social security numbers, immigration paperwork, salaries, criminal history records, evaluations, corrective action documentation, and pre-employment test results.
  • May serve as the system administrator for the applicant tracking system.
  • Schedules and coordinates new employee orientations.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to individuals and organizations in the course of duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum three years of successful business office experience is required.
  • Coursework in human resources is desirable.
  • Experience in an educational agency is desirable.
  • Experience in human resources is desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay range: $22.79 – $29.97 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications
  • Work schedule: 261 days / 7.5 hours daily
  • Location: Genesee, MI (onsite)
