Job Description

The Human Resources Associate role at HellermannTyton in Milwaukee focuses on HR operations, maintaining data integrity in Dayforce, and providing employee support with a path toward HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Keep Dayforce HRIS data current for new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Plan and execute onboarding and offboarding to ensure a consistent, smooth experience.
  • Audit HRIS data and transactions to confirm accuracy and regulatory compliance.
  • Support job and position management, including creation and updates in HR systems.
  • Provide Dayforce system support with password resets, timekeeping help, and troubleshooting.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees, managers, and external parties on HR inquiries.
  • Respond to requests promptly and professionally; escalate issues as needed.
  • Handle employment verifications within established service levels.
  • Support new hire and benefits orientation sessions.
  • Prepare and distribute company-wide announcements for hires, promotions, and terminations.
  • Maintain confidential employee records in line with policies and legal requirements.
  • Administer I-9 and E-Verify processes to meet federal regulations.
  • Support unemployment claims by completing discharge questionnaires accurately and on time.
  • Assist with EEO/AA and VETS reporting and documentation.
  • Ensure labor law postings and HR compliance materials are current and properly displayed.
  • Administer Milwaukee facility badge access and ID systems.
  • Coordinate employee uniform ordering and distribution.
  • Maintain HR-related resources, including bulletin boards, forms, and policies, in both digital and physical formats.
  • Manage HR supplies, mailroom tasks, and employee-facing materials.
  • Support HR initiatives such as wellness programs, service awards, and employee events.
  • Maintain service award tracking and assist with recognition programs.
  • Keep organizational charts and HR documentation up to date.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for HR projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years in HR, administrative, or customer service roles preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; Dayforce experience strongly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR practices (FLSA, EEO, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and insurance.
  • High accuracy of HRIS data and employee records.
  • Timely completion of onboarding, offboarding, and employee transactions.
  • Responsive to employee and manager inquiries.
  • Compliance with regulatory and internal HR requirements.
  • Proven ability to reduce administrative backlog and improve process efficiency.
  • Positive feedback from employees and HR team members on support and service.
