Job Description
Join Ivy Tech Community College as an onsite Human Resources Coordinator in Sellersburg, Indiana. This role supports HR operations across payroll, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, employee records, and engagement. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, and the position offers a salary range of $42,000 to $47,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary resource for HR inquiries, offering guidance and support to staff.
- Maintain and update employee records with accuracy while ensuring policy and labor law compliance.
- Prepare and circulate the weekly HR communications and related materials.
- Handle payroll documentation and help resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Conduct employer verifications, process fee remission requests, and perform other administrative tasks.
- Support recruitment activities such as posting positions, coordinating interview schedules, and assisting hiring processes.
- Coordinate the generation and distribution of HR reports.
- Support onboarding and offboarding, including orientation, paperwork processing, and exit interviews.
- Oversee workers compensation claim management.
- Coordinate celebrations and employee engagement events.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Assist with special HR projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with HR software such as Workday and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor with a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
