Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
One Kalakaua Senior Living Association is seeking an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day operations within the Human Resources Department. This onsite role in Honolulu focuses on employee records, recruitment coordination, compliance tracking, benefits support, HRIS and payroll assistance, and employee communications.
Role Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job advertisement posting, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and support for new-hire processing and onboarding.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records in both electronic and paper formats.
- Assist with employee benefits enrollment, changes, documentation, invoice support, and employee service requests.
- Update and maintain employee information in HRIS and payroll systems and assist with approved employee changes.
- Track employee licenses, certifications, TB clearances, immunizations, and other employment or regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and distribute compliance reminders and reports to employees and department managers.
- Support employee health documentation and maintain confidential employee health records.
- Assist with performance evaluation administration, including distribution, tracking, collection, scanning, and filing.
- Draft and distribute Human Resources communications, notices, memos, and employee announcements.
- Maintain employee bulletin boards and ensure required federal, state, and organizational postings are current.
- Coordinate HR meetings and provide administrative support, including documentation and scheduling.
- Support Human Resources audits, employee programs, special projects, and organizational initiatives.
- Assist the Human Resources Manager and designated leadership during emergency situations with employee communications, documentation, coordination, and other assigned response activities.
- Perform other Human Resources and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant HR or administrative experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources, administrative, or related experience preferred.
- Human Resources experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
