Human Resources Coordinator

Encompass Health is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to streamline HR operations and provide reliable support to employees and managers. This onsite role in Lakeland, FL contributes to recruitment support, employee record management, FMLA administration, and survey preparedness activities, while also helping drive HR efficiency through ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Streamline HR functions and provide essential day-to-day support to employees and managers.
• Lead the screening and interview process in support of recruitment needs.
• Oversee and manage FMLA processes for benefits.
• Maintain organized employee records management to support accurate HR operations.
• Prepare for surveys and assist with federal, state, and Joint Commission survey preparedness activities.
• Support HR projects and assume project coordination responsibilities when assigned.
• Contribute to survey readiness and HR efficiency initiatives, leveraging strong organizational skills and computer proficiency.
• Support recruitment by screening resumes and identifying qualified candidates.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing employee and manager needs effectively.
• Participate in special HR projects as needed to support organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in healthcare.
• Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR and/or SPHR) is preferred.
• BA or BS degree in Personnel Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience may substitute for a four-year degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint) is preferred.
