Responsibilities
- Conduct employee relations investigations, provide counseling, and perform exit interviews
- Administer benefits, including claims resolution, change reporting, invoicing for payment, and communicating benefits information and other programs to employees
- Lead recruitment efforts for all exempt and non exempt staff, interns, and temporary workers; conduct new employee orientations; monitor career-pathing programs; draft and place advertisements
- Maintain accurate employee documentation in the HRIS and generate required reports
- Coordinate relationships with temporary staffing agencies and workers
- Administer the uniform program
- Prepare HR process related documents, letters, and work instructions
- Coordinate and implement employee events and incentive programs to boost morale and engagement
- Maintain time and attendance records and reporting
- Create forms and tracking systems for special projects; assist with audits as needed
- Assist in coordinating professional development and training initiatives for all staff
- Build relationships with local colleges to sustain recruiting of engineering co-ops and recent graduates
- Participate in continuous improvement programs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and minimum three years of HR experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Experience with an HRIS or similar HR system
- Familiarity with anti-discrimination laws and EEOC compliance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong confidentiality and discretion
- Flexible and adaptable to new ideas and approaches
- Excellent relationship management and consultation skills
