Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Micro-Coax, located in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, is seeking an on-site Human Resources Generalist to partner with leaders and staff across the HR lifecycle. This role oversees talent acquisition, onboarding, payroll, HRIS, benefits and leave administration, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, with a compensation target of USD 70,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR support for managers and employees, interpreting policy, handling routine HR transactions, addressing standard employee relations matters, and guiding performance management.
- Own the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through separation, including all related processes and documentation.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned openings, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, offer coordination, and pre-employment activities.
- Participate in recruitment events and external job fairs.
- Conduct new hire orientation and coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire documentation, I-9 certification, and E-Verify.
- Coordinate and administer payroll and timekeeping processes to ensure accurate payroll and labor reporting.
- Respond to routine inquiries on benefits, paychecks, and other payroll-related matters.
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records in the HRIS (Dayforce) and manage related electronic files for payroll, timekeeping, benefits, medical records, and terminations.
- Prepare routine and ad-hoc HRIS reports to support data needs, compliance, and various HR projects.
- Administer benefits and leave of absence programs, including FMLA and short-term disability.
- Lead and support engagement and recognition programs that help build a strong, positive company culture.
- Collaborate on HR initiatives and projects, including investigations, performance management, training, succession planning, and compensation activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Provide backup support for other HR team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as required in support of the department and the company.
Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive HR experience.
- Working knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Supervisor Responsibilities
This role does not include direct supervision of other staff. It does offer opportunities for professional growth and includes responsibilities related to coaching and mentoring employees as appropriate.
Work Location and Schedule
- On-site, based in the office in Pottstown, PA, following regular business hours with occasional after-hours availability, including evenings or weekends.
Physical Demands
Moderate physical activity is required. The role involves prolonged sitting while operating a computer, frequent typing and handling, and periodic standing or walking. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds may be needed.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements
- Safety toe shoes meeting ASTM Fâ2412â2005 and ANSI Z41 standards in applicable areas.
- Safety-rated clear glasses meeting ANSI Z87.1 in applicable areas.
Export Compliance
This position includes access or potential access to ITAR and EAR controlled data. Candidates must qualify as US Persons (US Citizens or Permanent Residents).
Travel
Travel is expected to be less than 5% of the time.
