Job Description

Onsite at Eagle Flexible Packaging in Waupun, WI, the Human Resources Generalist supports the full employee lifecycle with emphasis on recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR operations, with compensation ranging from USD 50,000 to 75,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruiting for hourly and salaried positions
  • Proactively source and screen candidates
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Advise on selection decisions and compensation recommendations
  • Own the onboarding experience for new hires, including paperwork
  • Maintain recruiting systems and candidate pipelines
  • Be the first point of contact for employee questions and concerns
  • Support and document employee relations matters, including investigations as needed
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify trends
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives and events
  • Support performance management processes, including drafting corrective actions as needed
  • Schedule check-ins and track completion, ensuring timely feedback and leadership alignment on goals
  • Maintain accurate employee records in ADP Workforce Now
  • Process employee changes such as hires, terminations, and status updates
  • Support timekeeping review and payroll coordination
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and documentation
  • Administer benefits programs and serve as employee point of contact
  • Lead annual open enrollment
  • Manage leaves of absence and track required documentation
  • Coordinate with vendors and ensure timely communication
  • Support safety program administration and compliance tracking, coordinate required trainings and maintain records
  • Assist with PPE and safety supply oversight
  • Support internal communications to ensure workforce awareness
  • Assist in promoting company programs such as health and wellness and EAP
  • Help reinforce a positive workplace culture
  • Represent Eagle at job fairs and community events
  • Build relationships with local schools and workforce development partners
  • Support initiatives that enhance employer brand in the community
  • Identify and coordinate the execution of Eagle Cares community support activities
  • Participate in HR projects and process improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and employee experience
  • Ensure that all food safety and quality assurance procedures are followed; escalate issues as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum two years relevant HR experience
  • Experience supporting multiple HR functions, including talent acquisition and employee relations
  • Basic PC skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email software; ability to learn new software
  • Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Strong integrity with the ability to handle confidential information
  • Sense of urgency, thoroughness, responsiveness, professionalism, and proactivity
  • Effective time management with the ability to work independently
  • Professional proficiency in verbal and written English for diverse internal and external communication
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn
