Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
State Land Office seeks an HR Generalist to deliver human resources support, payroll processes, and confidential file management for employees and external customers in Santa Fe, NM.
Position Details
- Location: Santa Fe, NM (onsite)
- Salary: USD 24 - 37 per hourly
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in any field
Responsibilities
- Provide HR and customer service to State Land Office staff and external customers
- Respond to HR inquiries from employees and external stakeholders
- Perform payroll audits after each cycle to verify salaries, hours, and deductions
- Manage the HR inbox, route emails to appropriate staff, and maintain HR spreadsheets (FMLA, Paid Parental, Physical Fitness)
- Enter personnel transactions into the SHARE HCM module and maintain all personnel and confidential files accurately
- Create and maintain recruitment files, issue job announcements, back up recruitment activities, refer and certify applicants, and assist with onboarding
- Serve as back-up for agency wide HR trainings and uphold confidentiality
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any field. A combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or four years of direct experience may substitute for the degree
- Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License
Technologies
- Statewide Human Resources Accounting Reporting (SHARE) - Human Capital Management (HCM) module
Benefits
- Hiring bonus of forty (40) hours of leave at start date to be used at any time, in addition to standard leave accrual
