Human Resources Generalist

McDougall & Sons, Inc. is hiring a Human Resources Generalist in Wenatchee, WA to support farm workers and Orchard Management. This onsite role assists with HR operations and the H-2A guest worker program, including hiring support, payroll guidance, compliance oversight with the HR director, and training and conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews and assist with the hiring of orchard workers.
• Travel daily to company-owned orchards using a company vehicle provided.
• Support orchard staff by providing payroll procedures guidance.
• Act as a communication link between management and orchard employees, addressing questions and concerns related to company policies and personnel matters.
• Work with the HR director to oversee H-2A team members and manage the program to ensure compliance with required documentation, regulations, and procedures.
• Provide training to new supervisors on company policies, procedures, and employee relations practices.
• Assist with conflict resolutions, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Support additional HR-related duties and projects as assigned.
• Manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs with minimal notice.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in Human Resources and/or the H-2A guest worker program.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (Spanish required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required for company vehicle insurance purposes.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team.
• Positive, professional attitude with a willingness to help others.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt quickly to changing situations.

Education

• High school or equivalent.

Schedule and Job Type

• Job type: Full-time.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• Must be available for occasional weekend work and overtime based on business needs.

Compensation

• Pay: $29.00 to $40.00 per hour.
