Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Hilton Richmond is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the day-to-day HR function onsite in Richmond, VA. This role keeps employee programs running smoothly, helps ensure accurate benefits administration, and provides responsive HR support across onboarding, recruitment coordination, and termination processing. What you’ll do
- Assist with administration of health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to support accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Provide customer service to employees by answering requests and questions.
- Complete and maintain Forms I-9 by verifying documentation and keeping I-9 files up to date.
- Submit online investigation requests and assist with new-employee background checks.
- Support audits as needed of benefits or other HR programs and recommend corrective action.
- Help with new hire onboarding, including orientation presentations.
- Assist with termination processing and support preparation of the performance review process.
- Coordinate recruiting and interviews by tracking candidate status in HRIS and sending follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Schedule meetings and interviews as requested by the Director of HR.
- File documents into the appropriate employee files, prepare correspondence, and prepare new-employee files.
- Assist with preparation of employee events and recognition programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- Education: Minimum High School Diploma; Associate’s degree or certificate in human resources or a related field and/or equivalent experience (as applicable).

Salary range: $55,000.00 to $76,000.00 per year
