Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter
Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist/Recruiter role at Contract Transport Services supports employees and leadership across HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and HR program administration.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation, process new hires in UKG, and keep new hire documentation up to date.
- Manage employee access and security systems, including facility codes and fuel-card access.
- Arrange travel accommodations for new hires and drivers when required.
- Contribute to recruitment efforts such as sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, campus outreach, and maintaining candidate pipelines.
- Administer end-to-end recruitment and onboarding using HRIS platforms.
- Keep precise employee records in HRIS/UKG and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
- Oversee HR programs covering compensation, benefits, leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and recognition initiatives.
- Assist with employee relations by answering inquiries, resolving workplace concerns, and supporting investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Monitor required trainings, certifications, and continuing education to ensure compliance.
- Help plan employee events, milestone programs, and engagement initiatives.
- Advise managers and staff on HR policies, procedures, and employment-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, OSHA standards, and company policies.
- Support performance management processes, employee evaluations, and training and development efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
