Job Description

Hitachi Industrial Equipment & Solutions America, LLC offers an onsite, collaborative environment in Charlotte, NC with a strong emphasis on people operations. The Human Resources Generalist – Talent Acquisition leads full-cycle recruiting, provides day-to-day HR support, and partners with hiring managers to shape workforce strategy. You will support onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, HR administration, and other HR initiatives, all within a culture that values growth, teamwork, and practical impact. Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for both exempt and non-exempt roles across multiple departments.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and craft effective recruiting strategies.
  • Prepare and post job openings on internal and external boards.
  • Proactively source candidates via LinkedIn, networking, referrals, career fairs, professional associations, colleges, and recruiting platforms.
  • Screen resumes, conduct initial phone screens, coordinate interviews, and facilitate candidate assessments.
  • Coach hiring teams through the interview and selection process.
  • Prepare job offers and coordinate pre-employment steps including background checks, drug screens, and employment verification.
  • Maintain applicant tracking records and recruitment metrics to monitor performance.
  • Develop talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Build relationships with local colleges, technical schools, workforce development organizations, and community partners.
  • Continuously assess recruiting effectiveness and propose process improvements.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Provide guidance to employees on policies, benefits, and HR procedures.
  • Support managers with employee relations matters while ensuring policy and employment law compliance.
  • Assist with performance management processes, development initiatives, and succession planning.
  • Support investigations involving employee concerns or policy violations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and recruiting data in the HRIS and ATS, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment and respond to employee questions.
  • Support HR compliance activities including I-9 administration, EEO reporting, and required documentation.
  • Assist with policy implementation and employee communications.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and company events.
  • Support training and development programs.
  • Generate HR reports and analyze metrics.
  • Assist with additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated success in managing full-cycle recruiting.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience using HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
