Job Description

This onsite, full-time Human Resources Manager role at Bethel Family Clinic oversees employee-related HR processes and partners with senior leadership on policy development and positive workforce relations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead general HR functions aligned with the clinic’s service scope and regulatory requirements.
  • Present new hire orientation, onboarding paperwork, and related training in employee relations as needed.
  • Serve as a go-to resource for staff and managers on policy, procedures, and HR best practices.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and changes.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc HR reports as required.
  • Administer and manage the organization’s bi weekly payroll.
  • Foster positive employee relations and resolve conflicts using HR theory, research, practice, and policy interpretation.
  • Identify and address problems promptly; conduct investigations when necessary.
  • Coach managers and employees in monitoring progress and resolving conflicts.
  • Educate managers on documentation standards and recordkeeping.
  • Influence colleagues to adopt more productive approaches and practices.
  • Alert management to emerging issues with potential volatility and advise on mitigations.
  • Promote retention initiatives and develop and implement retention plans.
  • Lead the exit interview process and analyze feedback for improvements.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and inform actions.
  • Develop solutions in collaboration with service lines, business units, and HR consultants.
  • Contribute to the development of communication plans and assess outcomes for improvement.
  • Coordinate annual insurance marketing opportunities for corporate and employee programs.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance through ongoing maintenance and audit functions for the clinic and providers.
  • Manage monthly billing and administration of FMLA, benefit enrollment, and open enrollment.
  • Coordinate processes with the Executive Director prior to go live.
  • Provide employment relations, mediation, conflict resolution, and exit interviews as needed.
  • Maintain the Employee Handbook and all policies, updating per legal changes.
  • Support professional growth through seminars, workshops, training, and affiliations.
  • Participate in staff meetings and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3 years direct HR responsibilities.
  • SHRM CP or PHR strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Ability to conduct background checks on applicants prior to hire.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-directed with solid problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in employment law and governmental compliance preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Office setting with desk duties and extended periods of computer use.
  • Ability to sit for long periods; ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry files, open file cabinets, and bend or stoop as required.
