Human Resources Manager

American Plastics, LLC is seeking a Human Resources Manager for its Tiffin, Ohio facility. This on-site role reports to the Director of Human Resources and focuses on recruiting, employee relations, timekeeping, and HR administration to support our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment for direct labor positions
• Conduct interviews, process background checks, employment authorizations, and oversee new hire orientation
• Process weekly timekeeping and maintain attendance calendars
• Research and investigate employee issues or concerns, consult with management, and coordinate necessary action to bring appropriate resolution
• Review disciplinary action and termination documents, coordinating with appropriate partners as necessary
• Maintain active and terminated personnel files
• Assist in Bureau of Workers Compensation Cases
• Provide support between employee and operations to approve weekly timesheets
• Coordinate and distribute reporting on labor and hiring to Management
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ Human Resources Manager experience in a company with 150+ employees
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; relevant work experience may substitute
• 3 years of manufacturing environment experience
• Ability to multitask and self-motivate
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Fully computer literate including MS Office Suites, ATS experience, and the ability to learn Paylocity within the first 30 days
• Professional attitude and demeanor with management and employees
• Resourceful with strong problem‑solving abilities
• Extremely detailed and organized
• Knowledge of office machines including copiers, scanners, and multi-line phone systems
