Job Description

The HR Manager will partner with facility leadership to implement HR strategies, deliver solutions, and drive on-time, on-budget outcomes while collaborating with centers of excellence. This onsite role is based in Reno, NV, with a salary range of USD 85,000 to 95,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Business partnership: Collaborates with site leadership to align HR initiatives with daily operations, delivering practical business solutions and serving as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders.
  • Leadership: Acts as a mentor and escalation point within the broader leadership team for employee-related matters, guiding other HR professionals as needed.
  • Engagement: Drives site employee engagement through effective communications, recognition programs, and rewards across all levels, with occasional event coordination.
  • Talent acquisition: Leads site recruiting, partnering with Talent Acquisition for salaried roles and overseeing all hourly requisitions; supports onboarding and training in collaboration with leaders.
  • Talent management: Owns site talent processes, including annual performance and talent reviews, workforce planning, development plans, and learning opportunities.
  • Company culture: Advises leadership on talent, organizational effectiveness, change management, and culture to align with Novolex values and strategic initiatives.
  • Analytics: Creates and maintains dashboards, analyzes data to identify root causes, and recommends countermeasures affecting People metrics.
  • Compliance: Ensures adherence to local, state, and federal laws across HR functions and stays current on HR trends.
  • Labor relations: Manages labor relations activities, including negotiations, conflict resolution, collective bargaining agreements, and grievance/arbitration processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of HR business partner experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certifications, or local equivalent, preferred
  • Experience with talent management, recruiting, compensation, and organizational development
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and applicant tracking systems
  • Experience driving action plans to achieve desired outcomes
  • Experience leading change in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coach, communicate, and influence leaders and team members at all levels
  • Experience in a unionized environment is preferred
  • Ability to foster positive labor relations with unions and key representatives
  • Ability to travel up to 10 percent within the United States
