Salary: USD 88,300 - 132,500 per year • Location: Chicago, IL onsite. The Human Resources Manager role supports HRBP and leadership to implement local initiatives and execute regional and corporate programs, helping to attract, develop, retain, and engage talent across the OpCo to achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical guidance, client relations support, and people management for major programs and projects.
• Collaborate with the Human Resource Business Partner to execute core HR processes such as performance management, talent management, total rewards, compensation, training and development, and the interactive process of transitional return to work.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and associates on policy and procedure matters.
• Partner with HRBP to foster an inclusive and diverse culture.
• Oversee employee and labor relations, including investigations and conflict resolution.
• Review, interpret, administer, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies and procedures.
• Assist in identifying training needs and developing programs to enhance performance and professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development.
• Minimum five years of experience in human resources management.
• Three years in a supervisory role preferred, or an equivalent combination of related training and experience.
• Experience collaborating with attorneys, Centers of Excellence, and senior leadership.

Decision making authority

• Maintain proficiency in current employee-related laws including ADA, FMLA, Sexual Harassment, Title VII, and related regulations.
• Manage employee claims and litigation in coordination with internal and external counsel.
• Make high impact HR decisions with review and approval from others or supervisors, including required reviews and approvals for managing the HR department budget.
