Human Resources Payroll Coordinator
Job Description
CANIK USA LLC is hiring a Human Resources Payroll Coordinator to support accurate payroll execution and HR compliance in a fast-paced 24-hour manufacturing environment. This onsite role in West Palm Beach, FL coordinates weekly payroll prep, maintains HR and payroll records, and serves as a key point of contact for hourly employees on timekeeping and payroll questions.
You will help ensure payroll submission readiness by auditing data quality and coordinating updates tied to employee lifecycle events, while also supporting benefit administration, onboarding/offboarding activities, and routine HR inquiries.
Core responsibilities
- Coordinate and prepare weekly payroll for submission by reviewing employee data, hours worked, missed punches, deductions, garnishments, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain payroll-related documentation and records for garnishments, deductions, and other payroll files in line with company policy and applicable law.
- Coordinate payroll-related changes under HR oversight, including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, transfers, status changes, and leave-related updates.
- Assist hourly employees across a 24-hour operation with timeclock corrections, payroll questions, pay discrepancies, attendance coding, and related follow-up (escalating issues as appropriate).
- Audit timeclock and payroll data for accuracy and completeness prior to final review and submission by the Director of Finance.
- Partner with supervisors and department leaders to resolve timekeeping discrepancies, missed punches, approvals, and employee record updates in a timely manner.
- Support administration of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
- Direct employee relations matters to the Human Resources Generalist.
- Support benefit enrollment and general benefit questions, including questions tied to qualifying life events.
- Assist with annual open enrollment preparation, including communications and data entry.
- Maintain accurate employee personnel files and HRIS data.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, COBRA, ACA, EEO, and OSHA.
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance documentation as required.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities including new hire documentation, orientation coordination, system access, and employee communication.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries related to onboarding, office processes, HR procedures, and general HR policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all HR-related matters.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5-8 years of hands-on payroll processing experience required, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or other high-volume hourly workforce environment.
- Prior HR Coordinator or HR administrative experience supporting onboarding, office processes, employee questions, and general HR administration required.
- Experience supporting payroll in a multi-shift or 24-hour operation strongly preferred.
- Dayforce experience highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
