Job Description

C&W Services is hiring a Human Resources People Partner to support HR initiatives across a regional territory in Ohio. This hybrid role operates in a Cleveland, Ohio area footprint and partners with HR leadership to develop, communicate, and administer HR policies and programs that align with the business plan.

In this position, you will serve as a strategic HR business partner to field leadership, help guide staffing and people-related decisions, and support employee transition activities tied to outsourcing service contracts, mergers, and acquisitions. Travel is expected as part of ongoing site support and internal collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and regulations daily to support managers and employees
  • Serve as an HR Business Partner to field leadership
  • Direct and manage tasks, programs, and projects within the Field team
  • Provide strategic consulting to field leadership and hiring managers on staffing needs, compensation, performance management, employee relations, policy compliance, training, and related topics for assigned employee populations
  • Provide direction, coaching, and leadership to assigned HR staff, as applicable
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to drive ongoing improvements in the efficiency of HR service delivery
  • Partner with centers of expertise for payroll processing, employee benefits programs, and national HR programs to support accurate and consistent communication
  • Partner with the center of expertise to ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation for the assigned geographic area, including monitoring and auditing local EEO practices
  • Support on-site leadership for employee transition activities related to outsourcing service contracts, mergers, and acquisitions, including assisting leadership, drafting RFP sections, and participating in due diligence where an employee acquisition or transition component is involved
  • Conduct employee relations counseling, mediation, and investigations, and handle employee grievances under the direction of Senior Management
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of HR systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of HR experience with demonstrated ability to exercise appropriate judgment, or a similar combination of education and experience
  • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and delegate
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to hire and retain high achievers
  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
  • Detail-oriented approach, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and a highly professional, customer service-oriented style

Location, Hybrid Setup, and Travel

  • Location: North Randall, OH (hybrid)
  • Remote role with candidates required to be located in the Cleveland, Ohio area
  • Hybrid sites throughout the Cleveland area, expected to facilitate site visits at client locations 2–3 days per week
  • Support multiple sites across a central regional territory, with Ohio having the highest concentration of sites
  • Travel: 10–20%, including occasional overnight travel
  • National travel for internal business meetings, trainings, and presentations 2–3 times per year

Compensation

  • Salary: USD 78,625 - 92,500 per year
  • Compensation may vary based on whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, geographic work area, market pay rates, and candidate experience and qualifications
  • The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role
