Intermediate Human Resources Operations Specialist
Job Description
Join CDM Smith’s Corporate HR team as an Intermediate Human Resources Operations Specialist supporting firmwide HR operations programs in a hybrid role based in Boston.
Responsibilities
- Lead and administer one or more firmwide HR operations programs: relocation, background check, immigration, leaves, or e-Verify
- Own straightforward and conventional Human Resources Operations projects within assigned HR operations areas
- Direct outside vendors to deliver services and collect required data; provide follow-up information to internal departments as needed
- Administer day-to-day HR operations, programs, policies, and procedures
- Advise HR team, managers, and employees on implementing and executing program guidelines, processes, and procedures
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to support compliance with firm policies and/or procedures
- Prepare, track, and report program information, including expenses and detailed agreements/files by user, using methods such as reports, spreadsheets, and software
- Maintain program data including spreadsheets, files, paybacks, expenses, and invoice payments
- Process invoices associated with the program(s)
- Use current and historical reporting and analysis to identify program issues and recommend improvements
- Prepare quarterly, bi-annual, or annual program reports for managers, the HR team, and key business stakeholders
- Review program(s) for legal compliance and recommend process and policy changes as appropriate
- Manage vendor relationships and escalate vendor issues to a supervisor or higher-level management when needed
- Conduct program performance analyses and deliver recommendations to improve outcomes
- Lead assigned programs and participate in other HR project teams focused on reducing manual work and increasing efficiency
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work with attention to detail, oversee multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
- Solid knowledge of human resources practices, policies, regulations, and programs
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of related experience
- Equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Location / Schedule
- Based in the Boston, MA office
- Candidates MUST be located in the Boston area
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week in the Boston office
Travel Requirements
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required
- Travel required: 10% or less
Pay
- Pay range: USD 66,456 - 109,616 per year
- Minimum: USD 66,456.00
- Maximum: USD 109,616.00
Additional Compensation
- Bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position
