Mgr, Human Resources (Technology Group)
Job Description
Lead HR partnership for the Grainger Technology Group by aligning people strategy to evolving business and technology needs.
Responsibilities
- Translate business needs into human resource plans and programs
- Identify and assess human resource needs across designated departments
- Collaborate with HR centers of excellence, including Total Rewards, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, and Organization Effectiveness
- Provide HR expertise across employee development, performance, talent acquisition, inclusion and diversity, and total rewards
- Partner with leaders on organization structure and job design aligned to work processes
- Advise leaders on performance management tools within specific departments in partnership with team member relations advisors
- Ensure appropriate learning and growth opportunities are identified and acted on for individuals and teams
- Coach the business through change management steps to support successful execution of important projects
- Coach leaders to improve engagement and help deliver a strong team member experience
- Drive process and clarity across key HR processes; communicate with the business to achieve desired process outcomes
- Participate in interviews for key roles
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional work experience required
- 5+ years progressive Human Resource management experience required
- Influencing and facilitation skills that surface differing viewpoints and support sound decision-making
- Understanding of organization dynamics and ability to navigate appropriate channels
- Proven success managing projects
Compensation
- Anticipated base pay range: USD 103,600 - 172,600 per year
- Incentive eligibility: up to 15% target based on achievement of individual and company performance objectives under the current incentive program terms, subject to change

Position Details
- Strategic partner to leaders across a broad and evolving technology organization supporting GTG
- Translate GTG’s business and technology priorities into people, organization, and talent strategies to strengthen leadership capability, align talent with future needs, increase internal mobility, and enable faster delivery with greater speed, clarity, and accountability
- Support leaders across technology functions, including Product Engineering, Infrastructure and Platform Engineering, Architecture, Data and Analytics, Machine Learning, Information Security, and Business Systems
- Partner across HR to deliver an inclusive and high-performing team member experience
