People Operations Manager
Job Description
On-site People Operations Manager based in Elkridge, MD, overseeing multi-state compliance, HRIS, data analytics, and lifecycle operations for Feast & Fettle's People team across RI, MD, and NY, with a Friday–Tuesday five-day workweek.
Responsibilities
- Oversee federal and multi-state HR compliance for RI, MD, and NY, including posting requirements, EEO-1 filings, OSHA 300 logs, and wage and hour audit readiness.
- Administer leave programs such as FMLA, state leave, parental leave, and workers' compensation, handling intake, tracking, documentation, and employee communications.
- Own HRIS configuration, data integrity, and reporting framework; establish data standards across sites (for example turnover definitions and headcount methodology).
- Manage day-to-day HRIS administration, including employee records, onboarding task workflows, worksite configurations, and policy acknowledgments.
- Maintain the SOP library and assign named owners for key processes.
- Lead people analytics and reporting to deliver insights that inform strategy and drive continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain dashboards for headcount, turnover, leave, compliance training completion, and People team KPIs.
- Identify and lead process improvements to increase clarity, efficiency, and scalability across People Operations systems and workflows.
- Develop and maintain templates, checklists, and automations to support consistent execution of core processes.
Requirements
- Strong affinity for systems, processes, and data.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in People Operations, Compliance, Safety, or related fields with solid multi-state compliance knowledge.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
- Proven ability to design, implement, and scale systems or programs that boost team and business performance.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to influence without formal authority and build trust across levels.
- Comfort with data analysis, able to interpret metrics and translate insights into strategy and action.
- Learning mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a proactive approach to improvement and contribution.
- Willingness to travel monthly between worksites.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
