Job Description

First Coast Security is seeking a Recruiter to support end-to-end hiring for Hermiston, Oregon. This onsite role focuses on building a strong candidate pipeline, screening and coordinating interviews, and working closely with operational leaders to ensure qualified, properly vetted candidates are ready for their assigned posts.

As a key partner in the hiring process, you will manage job posting content and candidate communications, facilitate offers, and oversee onboarding coordination. You will also track recruiting outcomes, stay current on recruiting trends and best practices, and maintain compliance throughout screening, hiring, and selection.

What you’ll do

  • Source candidates through multiple search methods to maintain a robust candidate pipeline
  • Screen applicants by reviewing resumes and applications and conducting phone screenings
  • Own and manage the candidate experience by designing and managing job postings, job descriptions, and posting requirements
  • Perform reference, education, and background screenings as needed
  • Schedule interviews and oversee interview preparation, including questions and other selection materials
  • Assist Managers during interviews and participate in interview processes
  • Coordinate effectively with the hiring manager and HR staff to ensure candidates are properly vetted and credentialed
  • Facilitate the offer process by extending offers and discussing employment terms
  • Manage onboarding and the new hire process
  • Track metric-driven recruiting results and report to operational managers
  • Ensure screening, hiring, and selection activities align with employment laws and regulations
  • Meet and exceed assigned objectives while focusing on client expectations and continuous improvement
  • Support continuous improvement through proactive networking, effective working relationships, cost-containment efforts, and new sourcing options
  • Attend job fairs and/or local events to develop relationships and expand recruiting opportunities
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process
  • Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices

What you bring

  • 2+ years of recruitment experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven time management skills

Tools and systems

  • Applicant tracking and HRIS systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Location: Hermiston, OR (onsite)
Compensation: USD 65,000 - 70,000 per year
Experience: 2 years minimum
