Recruiter

Vulcan Elements is seeking a Recruiter in Durham, NC (onsite) to support end-to-end hiring and workforce planning. This role partners closely with hiring managers, helps source qualified candidates, and contributes to recruiting process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview

In this position, you will participate in hiring strategy and talent acquisition execution by aligning recruiting activities with organizational staffing needs. You will also review candidate information, coordinate key steps in the interview process, and use data to refine recruiting approaches over time. The work includes analyzing recruiting metrics and candidate survey data to improve the overall talent acquisition strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to hiring strategy by providing insight and guidance on scaling talent recruitment efforts to reduce time to fill for critical roles
• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions reflecting upcoming position requirements
• Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and coordinate interviews with the hiring team to evaluate candidate qualifications and role fit
• Source candidates using internal databases, networking, and external recruiting platforms
• Support a positive candidate experience through thoughtful communication and interview scheduling
• Analyze candidate survey data to continue improving the talent acquisition strategy
• Track and analyze recruitment metrics to improve hiring strategies and processes and align with business needs

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a full-cycle recruiter, preferably in a fast-paced high growth advanced manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with employment laws and regulations relevant to the industry
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with potential candidates
• Familiarity with applicant tracking software
• Familiarity with recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn or Indeed
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
