Senior Human Resource Specialist
Job Description
Senior Human Resource Specialist position onsite in Alpharetta, GA, with a salary range of USD 71,280 - 81,098 per year, focused on aligning resources and services to deliver Insperity HR solutions and improve client performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversees a portfolio of clients, ensuring thorough reviews and tailored HR solutions to support growth, satisfaction, and retention.
- Counsels client management on employee relations, legal interpretation and application, benefits, wage and hour, and performance management and development.
- Collaborates with client management to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Consults with client management on HR-related issues, proposes new HR strategies, and offers HR guidance when appropriate.
- Proactively assesses HR-related needs and works with leadership to address them.
- Researches trends with internal partners to develop compliant solutions, programs, and policies that mitigate risk.
- Builds relationships across internal and client teams to deliver value-added service and solutions to client management and decision makers.
- Leads investigations of complex employee relations issues, ensuring thorough, objective findings and resolutions.
- Interprets and applies legal requirements related to employee management to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; coordinates with DE&I, FLSA, background screening, benefits, and COEs as needed.
- Delivers guidance on performance management, including conflict resolution, coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions to drive engagement and accountability.
- Works with leadership to improve work relationships, morale, teamwork, and retention.
- Proactively researches and provides HR policy guidance, interpretation, and best-practice recommendations.
- Guides workforce and succession planning and offers input on organizational structure.
- Evaluates training needs for client management and key decision makers to ensure training objectives are met.
- Collaborates with leadership to design organizational development strategies that enhance organizational effectiveness in support of business strategies.
- Ensures all client interactions and related activities are documented timely in the appropriate client management systems.
- Serves as a subject matter expert on regional or national projects to elevate processes and partnerships in support of Insperity goals.
- Provides peer mentorship and coaching to new team members to help navigate organizational structures and improve onboarding effectiveness.
- Models behaviors that align with Insperity's mission, values, and culture, including care for employees and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
- Five or more years of related Human Resources experience is required.
- Professional or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR) and/or SHRM Certified Professional or Senior Professional (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SPC) certification preferred.
