Job Description

Scoot Education invites applications for a SPED Recruiter in Los Angeles, CA (hybrid). This role focuses on sourcing, vetting, and placing Special Education educators, building durable relationships with educational professionals and school partners to ensure thoughtful, well-matched placements. The position is non-exempt and offers an hourly rate of $32.45.

Responsibilities

  • Educator recruitment: assess and vet candidates through interviews, reference checks, background verifications, and online searches in line with strict quality standards.
  • Educator management: sustain professional relationships to support educators' career objectives and ongoing placement success.
  • Vacancy management: assist schools in urgent hiring needs by placing qualified, standout educators into special education classrooms.
  • Collaboration: work with Scoot’s School Consultant teams to ensure placements are a strong fit for both educator and school community.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute targeted recruitment strategies, conduct comprehensive candidate evaluations, and verify credentials to meet highquality standards.
  • Foster ongoing relationships with educators to support their professional growth and placement outcomes.
  • Respond to urgent client needs by placing qualified special education educators into classrooms that benefit from dependable staffing.
  • Coordinate with Scoot’s School Consultant teams to align each placement with the strengths of the educator and the needs of the school.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in education, recruitment, sales, or customer service; special education experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the education market and its dynamics.
  • Strong IT and administrative skills with proficient use of technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proven history of delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
  • Growth mindset, perseverance, and the drive to succeed.
