Job Description

Based in Baton Rouge, BRCC, part of the Louisiana Community and Technical Colleges System, is seeking a Talent Acquisition and Employee Success Consultant to drive strategic HR initiatives on site. This role blends end-to-end recruitment with programs that enhance the candidate and employee experience, onboarding, professional development, and workforce planning to advance BRCC’s mission of student success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment for classified, unclassified, faculty, and executive roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and tailor recruitment approaches.
  • Hold strategy sessions to identify essential competencies, qualifications, and workforce requirements.
  • Design innovative sourcing methods to engage both active and passive candidates.
  • Cultivate and sustain talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill, specialized, and executive positions.
  • Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, professional associations, workforce development groups, social channels, higher education networks, and community partnerships to source top talent.
  • Develop engaging job advertisements and recruitment campaigns that position BRCC as an employer of choice.
  • Coordinate search committees, interview scheduling, candidate communications, and selection workflows.
  • Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and provide candidate recommendations.
  • Track key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, time-to-hire, candidate quality, applicant flow, source effectiveness, and candidate experience.
  • Analyze labor market trends and suggest proactive recruitment approaches.
  • Develop workforce planning strategies to forecast future vacancies and succession opportunities.
  • Partner with campus leadership to forecast staffing needs and identify emerging talent requirements.
  • Recommend new recruitment technologies and process improvements to improve hiring effectiveness.
  • Create and implement employer branding initiatives that position BRCC as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborate with Public Relations to promote BRCC's workplace culture, mission, values, and employee success initiatives.
  • Create recruitment marketing campaigns that showcase career opportunities, employee achievements, professional development, and organizational culture.
  • Prepare recruitment materials for career fairs, conferences, social channels, and digital platforms.
  • Attend and represent BRCC at career fairs, workforce development events, community organizations, and professional conferences.
  • Establish relationships with colleges, universities, professional organizations, military transition programs, and community partners to broaden talent pipelines.
  • Promote BRCC's employee value proposition through proactive recruitment outreach and engagement activities.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding activities with hiring managers.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Develop and deliver professional development and leadership development workshops.
  • Partner with departments to identify workforce development and organizational learning needs.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives aligned with BRCC's Strategic Pillars and institutional values.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs and service award ceremonies.
  • Conduct employee engagement surveys, pulse surveys, focus groups, and stay interviews.
  • Analyze feedback to recommend actions that boost satisfaction, engagement, and retention.
  • Coordinate wellness initiatives and workplace culture programs.
  • Create employee communications to strengthen engagement and connectedness.
  • Ensure compliance with Louisiana Civil Service Rules, LCTCS policies, and BRCC HR procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records for recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee engagement.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards on recruitment, workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Six years of professional experience in talent acquisition, strategic sourcing, or human resources.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Higher Education, or a related field can substitute for three years of professional experience in talent acquisition, strategic sourcing, or human resources.
