Job Description
Talent Acquisition Partner role focused on sourcing, engaging, and managing hiring processes to support McLane’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned to talent needs in your assigned area
- Proactively source and maintain candidate pipelines using community partners, schools, networking, job boards, and social media
- Coordinate recruiting marketing activities with hiring leaders and marketing teams
- Use recruiting tools and technology to improve efficiency and candidate experience
- Manage requisition creation and hiring workflow in the applicant tracking system with input from hiring managers
- Ensure employment law compliance, including OFCCP and EEOC
- Build candidate flow through phone outreach and networking via social media and other sources
- Source, prescreen, and evaluate candidates using résumé reviews and interviews (virtual, phone, and in-person)
- Share the company value proposition, job responsibilities, compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities
- Partner with hiring managers to evaluate candidate fit across behavioral and technical competencies
- Provide hiring managers with updates on candidate status, progress, timelines, and potential challenges
- Coordinate interview logistics and maintain candidate engagement throughout the process
- Track and report recruitment metrics on a weekly basis
- Complete ongoing professional development to stay current on recruiting best practices and industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of high-volume recruiting in warehouse/logistics settings
- Proven pipeline building through direct sourcing, networking, and social media
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey complex or new information
- Friendly, effective communicator across hiring managers, candidates, and colleagues
- Ability to deliver a world-class candidate experience
- Understanding of business needs and the ability to communicate them
- Knowledge of hiring-related legislation: Title VII, PDA, ADEA, ADA, GINA, IRCA, FCRA, OFCCP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience recruiting distribution center teammates and CDL-A drivers
- Experience consulting with hiring managers
- Experience using HRIS and ATS software
- Experience running job fairs
- Experience applying situational/behavioral interviewing
