Job Description

This Talent Acquisition Recruiter role focuses on University Relations and Recruiting within the Aeronautics sector. Based onsite in Palmdale, California, the position owns the full recruiting lifecycle, builds strategic university partnerships, and collaborates with hiring managers to attract high-quality interns and early-career professionals. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture strategic ties with selected universities and student groups aligned to business priorities
  • Develop and sustain enduring university collaborations, engaging faculty, career services, and student organizations
  • Design and implement campus recruiting programs to create a durable pipeline of early career talent in engineering and emerging technologies
  • Maintain ongoing engagement with candidates across academic cycles to keep relationships warm
  • Screen, evaluate, and present qualified early career candidates matched to defined hiring profiles
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to refine candidate criteria and selection approaches
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers on early career market trends and campus strategy
  • Oversee planning and execution of campus events, networking sessions, and student engagement initiatives
  • Advocate the organization’s culture, values, and mission to strengthen brand presence on campus
  • Ensure a high quality candidate experience through clear communication and transparent processes
  • Leverage data insights to shape campus strategy aligned with the business sustainability and affordability posture
  • Ensure compliance with recruiting policies, university guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for regional and site-specific early career and internship requisitions
  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Sector UR&R teams to engage in university partnerships
  • Maintain candidate activity records in the ATS to ensure data integrity
  • Develop and analyze UR&R metrics to inform decision making
  • Identify and implement process improvements that drive operating excellence
  • Demonstrate the ability to consult with internal and external stakeholders, including students, university partners, Hiring Managers, and leadership

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in Talent Acquisition Recruiting or University Relations, or a Bachelor's Degree with 0 years of experience in Talent Acquisition Recruiting or University Relations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government clearance
  • Travel required up to 25%
  • Residence in Palmdale, CA or within a reasonable commuting distance

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Talent Acquisition Business Partner

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain a U.S Government clearance
  • Travel up to 25%
  • Based in Palmdale, CA or within a reasonable commuting distance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle recruiting through offer acceptance
  • Proficiency in Workday and Eightfold
  • Prior Talent Acquisition experience in a corporate recruiting environment
  • Experience recruiting for internships and early career programs
