Job Description

SPANCO, Inc. is seeking a part-time, mostly remote Bilingual HR Generalist to support recruitment and day-to-day HR operations across facilities in Franklin, Wisconsin. This hybrid role requires fluency in Spanish and English and offers a flexible 10-15 hour weekly schedule as the organization grows its people operations. The position emphasizes candidate experience, onboarding, retention, and cross-cultural communication to support a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Resume screening and candidate shortlisting
  • Conducting initial interviews (phone, video)
  • Coordinating interviews with hiring managers
  • Managing candidate communication and ensuring a positive candidate experience
  • New hire orientations and onboarding aid
  • Conducting stay interviews to support retention efforts
  • Conducting exit interviews and documenting insights
  • Supporting FMLA, short-term disability, and workers' compensation claim coordination
  • Assisting with training coordination and scheduling
  • Helping drive on-site culture initiatives, engagement activities, and communication efforts
  • Holding weekly office hours on site (day and time flexible) for employee support, interviews, and culture-building presence
  • Providing interpretation and translation services (Spanish and English) to ease cross-cultural communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • 2-5 years of HR experience in a generalist role
  • Strong people skills and comfort interacting with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work independently, manage variable weekly hours, and adapt to shifting priorities
  • Familiarity with basic employment law
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
