Bilingual Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
SPANCO, Inc. is seeking a part-time, mostly remote Bilingual HR Generalist to support recruitment and day-to-day HR operations across facilities in Franklin, Wisconsin. This hybrid role requires fluency in Spanish and English and offers a flexible 10-15 hour weekly schedule as the organization grows its people operations. The position emphasizes candidate experience, onboarding, retention, and cross-cultural communication to support a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
- Resume screening and candidate shortlisting
- Conducting initial interviews (phone, video)
- Coordinating interviews with hiring managers
- Managing candidate communication and ensuring a positive candidate experience
- New hire orientations and onboarding aid
- Conducting stay interviews to support retention efforts
- Conducting exit interviews and documenting insights
- Supporting FMLA, short-term disability, and workers' compensation claim coordination
- Assisting with training coordination and scheduling
- Helping drive on-site culture initiatives, engagement activities, and communication efforts
- Holding weekly office hours on site (day and time flexible) for employee support, interviews, and culture-building presence
- Providing interpretation and translation services (Spanish and English) to ease cross-cultural communication
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
- 2-5 years of HR experience in a generalist role
- Strong people skills and comfort interacting with employees at all levels
- Ability to work independently, manage variable weekly hours, and adapt to shifting priorities
- Familiarity with basic employment law
- Bilingual (Spanish and English)
