Business Consultant (Regional Recruiter)

The Business Consultant role in the Greenville Region supports connecting job seekers with employers, promoting SC Works services to businesses, and advancing regional workforce development across multiple counties. This onsite position requires travel and collaboration with local partners to align employer needs with available talent.

Responsibilities

• Represent SC Works Center by attending partner and community meetings and contributing as an active member of the Regional Business Service Team.
• Promote SC Works offerings to employers, with emphasis on federal contracting opportunities.
• Collaborate with economic development partners and ReadySC on new projects as a proactive member of the Regional Business Service Team.
• Plan and coordinate recruitment and hiring events.
• Engage with new businesses and maintain communication with existing employers using the SC Works platform.
• Ensure employers receive qualified applicants by reviewing job orders and verifying accuracy and equal opportunity compliance.
• Provide timely, professional, and attentive customer service to employers.
• Participate in local Business Services Teams and adhere to Certification Standards.
• Share labor market information and available incentives and services, including WIOA and On-the-Job Training, to meet employer needs.
• Attend trainings as offered and apply new knowledge to service delivery.
• Offer ongoing support to SC Works Centers and all Workforce programs.

Requirements

• A high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in recruitment, selection, interviewing, or workforce development.
• Overnight travel and routine driving are required.
• Evening and weekend work may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Scheduled travel to Cherokee, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Union counties.

The SC Works system provides career guidance, job referrals, assessments, and resume assistance, while employers access free tools for posting openings, recruiting and screening candidates, and reviewing job market trends. This position is based in the Greenville Region and requires scheduled travel to Cherokee, Greenville, Spartanburg, and Union counties.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma with a minimum of four years of experience in recruitment, selection, interviewing, or workforce development.
