Director, Human Resources

Redlands Community Hospital is seeking a Director, Human Resources to lead daily operations of the Human Resources Department and drive strategic support across assigned HR functions. This onsite role in Redlands, CA reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and focuses on workforce-related leadership while ensuring employment law and regulatory compliance.

The Director, Human Resources manages key HR areas including employee relations, benefits, and leave administration, partnering with leadership to support workforce planning and stability alongside a strong standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources Department, including administration, retention, benefits, orientation, employee relations, workers’ compensation, leaves of absence, accommodations, and employee engagement.
• Provide strategic leadership for assigned HR functions.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee employee relations as well as HR policies and procedures.
• Partner with leadership to support workforce planning and stability while delivering high-quality customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to meet all job and physical requirements as outlined in the job description or as agreed through a workplace accommodation.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Human Resources, Psychology, or equivalent required; Master’s Degree desired.
• Five years of Human Resources experience in a progressive leadership role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Computer, clerical, and mathematical skills, including experience with word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and regulatory agency labor and employment laws and regulations, including the Fair Labor Standard Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, ERISA, Wage and Hour, Title XXII, The Joint Commission, and the California Department of Public Health.
• MAB must be completed on the first day of work (grandfathered: existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025).

• Annual Salary Range: USD 126,256 - 189,384
