Job Description

Director of Human Resources at Elderspan Management, LLC in Madison, WI (onsite), reporting to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage benefit programs, workers' compensation, unemployment, and retirement plans, including enrollment, claims resolution, change reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Develop, implement, and analyze the compensation program; manage budgets; oversee merit increases and bonuses.
  • Oversee daily HR operations including recruitment, candidate selection, promotions, and transfers.
  • Investigate employee relations issues and devise appropriate resolutions, including recommended steps for remediation.
  • Design, implement, and supervise all training activities; collaborate with supervisors to determine training needs, create or source materials, and select trainers.
  • Develop, prepare, generate and analyze ongoing and ad hoc reports on personnel data such as benefits costs, staffing levels, turnover, absenteeism, recruitment, applicant tracking, compensation, and promotions; utilize the HRIS to collect, store, and analyze information.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of human resources experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
  • Knowledge of specialized principles or techniques typically obtained through a four-year college/university program or equivalent advanced training related to the work
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Knowledge of long-term care and/or assisted living preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS/HR software
