Experienced Carrier Recruiter
Job Description
RAS Logistics offers an opportunity for an experienced Carrier Recruiter to help strengthen its logistics network in Detroit, MI with an onsite role and a salary range of $95,000 - $100,000/year. You will partner with recruiting and operations to bring on qualified carriers, keep the onboarding process moving, and support long-term, reliable capacity for the business.
What you’ll do
- Source and recruit qualified owner-operators, small fleets, and trucking companies
- Build and maintain a pipeline of reliable carriers
- Conduct initial carrier qualification and screening
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including Certificate of Insurance (COI)
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including W-9
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including MC Authority
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including DOT Number
- Collect and verify onboarding documentation, including Operating Authority
- Collect and verify Safety Rating (FMCSA)
- Verify insurance requirements and coverage limits
- Ensure carriers meet compliance standards and company requirements
- Maintain communication throughout the onboarding process
- Coordinate with operations teams
- Track recruiting progress and onboarding status
What you bring
- Previous carrier recruiting
- Experience with the carrier onboarding process
- Knowledge of insurance requirements (COI)
- Understanding of FMCSA compliance
- Ability to support authority verification
- Existing network of carriers is preferred
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven approach
- Field recruiting experience
- Open to travel for the role: 50% - 75% travel

- Knowledge of load boards

- Consistent onboarding of qualified carriers
- Ability to maintain a reliable and compliant carrier pool
- Strong communication and follow-through
- Experience building long-term carrier relationships
