Human Resource Coordinator
Job Description
This onsite, part-time role in Hugo, Colorado, supports daily HR operations across Lincoln Health. The position offers an hourly wage of $27 - $42 and the chance to contribute to recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, HRIS, payroll support, and policy management within Lincoln Community Hospital and Nursing Home.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for employees seeking information about HR policies, benefits, and employment-related issues.
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including posting roles, tracking applicants, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and supporting onboarding.
- Lead new employee orientation and assist with onboarding to create a positive start.
- Maintain accurate, confidential personnel records and HRIS data.
- Support payroll processes, including data entry, status changes, and timekeeping support.
- Administer benefits enrollments, changes, terminations, and educate employees about benefit options.
- Assist with leave administration such as FMLA, workers' compensation, and other leave requests.
- Support engagement initiatives, recognition programs, retention efforts, and culture-building activities.
- Assist leadership on employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, investigations, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies.
- Help develop, implement, and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
- Prepare HR reports, audits, spreadsheets, and metrics related to staffing, turnover, benefits, compliance, and employee data.
- Support performance management activities such as evaluations, corrective action documentation, and development initiatives.
- Coordinate training and development opportunities for staff and leadership.
- Maintain knowledge of HR best practices, regulatory changes, and healthcare standards.
- Participate in HR and organizational projects, including process improvements and technology implementations.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication with employees, applicants, leadership, vendors, and external partners.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience preferred, ideally in healthcare or a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR practices, payroll processes, and benefit administration preferred.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must receive a yearly flu vaccination for the season running November 1 through April 1; if employed after vaccine availability, vaccination must be completed by October 31 unless an approved exemption is granted.
