Job Description
Lead HR strategy and daily execution for a manufacturing facility, ensuring compliant, people-centered practices that support plant goals.
Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day human resources operations for the facility.
- Communicate, reinforce, and apply employee relations principles and practices across the organization.
- Interpret, administer, and maintain HR policies and procedures while aligning HR plans to business objectives.
- Oversee key HR functions including talent acquisition, onboarding, compensation administration, performance management, employee development, and retention.
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate employee and leadership training programs.
- Manage payroll processing and HR Information Systems (HRIS) to support accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Track employment law and regulatory changes and ensure ongoing organizational compliance.
- Coach managers and employees on employee relations, performance issues, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
- Support organizational initiatives such as continuous improvement, workforce planning, affirmative action programs, integrations, acquisitions, and restructuring activities.
- Analyze HR trends and metrics; recommend improvements to strengthen organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
- Lead and participate in employee engagement activities, committees, and improvement teams.
- Partner with plant leadership to address workforce challenges and support operational priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Experience delivering presentations and facilitating training for large groups.
