Human Resource & Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
A Human Resource and Talent Acquisition Specialist is needed onsite in Edwardsville, Illinois, with a salary range of USD 60,000 to 80,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement recruitment plans targeting accounting interns, entry-level associates, experienced CPAs, and other support roles.
- Oversee end-to-end hiring, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating interview teams, and presenting offers.
- Cultivate and sustain partnerships with universities through campus events, career fairs, classroom sessions, and student networking opportunities.
- Lead the internship recruitment funnel, handling scheduling, candidate communications, interview logistics, and onboarding support.
- Oversee onboarding procedures and associated paperwork across all roles to ensure compliance and a positive candidate experience.
- Draft job postings and collaborate with marketing and leadership to strengthen employer branding.
- Build long-term talent pipelines to support growth across all office locations.
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, addressing policy questions and routine employee relations matters.
- Support HR strategy initiatives, including workforce planning, retention tactics, career development programs, and culture-building activities.
- Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and offboarding procedures for new hires.
- Update HR policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field is preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on recruiting; experience recruiting in accounting or professional services is a plus.
- Experience supporting multiple office locations.
- Ability to independently manage multiple HR functions and competing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with public speaking and campus engagement.
- Working knowledge of core HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Basic understanding of leave management (FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with all levels of the firm.
