Human Resources Administrator
Job Description
On-site Human Resources Administrator role in Bellport, NY, supporting core HR functions such as employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and benefits administration.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department and maintain confidential files
- Assist with onboarding, new hire paperwork, and employee file maintenance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
- Support leave of absence administration, including Workers’ Compensation, FMLA, and PFL tracking and documentation
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
- Support employee engagement initiatives and company events
- Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field
- Fluent in Spanish (written and verbal) required
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
- Experience with LOA administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated discretion handling confidential information
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and Microsoft Office
