Human Resources Assistant
Job Description
The Country Club of Orlando is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to help keep core people operations running smoothly across the Club. This onsite role supports recruiting and onboarding, maintains employee documentation, and assists with benefits and payroll-related processes to support day-to-day HR needs.
Role overview
Working in person in Orlando, FL, you will provide administrative support across multiple HR functions, while helping ensure HR activities align with applicable employment requirements. The position is a part-time opportunity with defined seasonal hours and includes assistance across records, orientation, benefits administration, and related documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Support recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews
- Maintain personnel records and update employee information within the company Human Resources system
- Assist employees with questions and provide guidance related to Human Resource policies and procedures
- Help with onboarding and orientation of new employees
- Manage employee benefits activities, including health insurance and 401(k) plans
- Assist with payroll documents and support timely processing
- Assist with employee performance reviews and disciplinary actions
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Requirements
- Recent studies in human resources or a related field preferred
- Prior experience in a Human Resource Assistant role preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of payroll and benefits administration (ADP WFN)
- Good understanding of labor laws and regulations

Compensation and schedule
- Pay: Up to $21.00 per hour
- Hours: 20.0 hours per week
- Expected schedule: 20-25 hours per week during season (September through March), and 15-20 hours for the remainder of the year

Work environment and physical requirements
The role is primarily conducted indoors with central A/C. Flexible and long hours may be required at times. You must be able to sit for an 8-hour shift and lift, push, pull, and carry 35 lbs. Frequent standing and walking may also be required to walk staff, members, and guests to their destinations.
