Job Description
Oak Creek Rehabilitation Center in Kimberly, ID is hiring a full-time Human Resources / Business Office (Collections) Specialist to support both people operations and facility billing needs on-site. This role blends HR onboarding and employee support with collections-focused responsibilities, including payment processing and patient account setup.
Working within the organization’s business office and HR workflows, you’ll help ensure new hires are properly onboarded, trainings are tracked, and timekeeping details are accurate, while also supporting residents and families with co-pays, shared cost collections, and payment plans.
Responsibilities
- Onboard new hires and complete all appropriate paperwork
- Include background checks as part of the onboarding process
- Ensure all new hires attend New Hire Orientation
- Assist employees with work-related injuries and workers comp claim reporting
- Ensure required annual/semiannual trainings are held and tracked
- Assist with disciplinary action
- Maintain a complete and accurate employee list
- Correct missed punches
- Ensure PTO requests are submitted
- Sign off on time clock accuracy for payroll
- Distribute benefit booklets to eligible new hires
- Assist employees with enrolling through iSolved
- Answer basic questions regarding benefit plans
- Submit to Corporate for enrollment and deduction set-up as needed
- Complete the termination process
- Handle facility collections, including private payment collections, co-payment collections, and share of cost collections
- Collect checks and cash from residents or their families
- Set up payment plans for patients who cannot pay their balance up front
- Ensure patients’ insurance information is entered correctly and updated consistently
- Assist with new admissions by confirming the admits have insurance and that the facility accepts it
- Communicate with residents about when copays start or are due to prevent financial surprises
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum six months of prior HR experience in an office setting
- Some prior collections experience preferred
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred but not required
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

Location: Kimberly, ID 83341 (onsite). Compensation: USD 18–20 per hour. Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
