Human Resources Business Partner
Job Description
Temco Logistics is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and staff across designated locations. This onsite role in Ohio centers on strengthening organizational effectiveness, elevating employee engagement, and advancing talent development and compliance, supported by substantial travel to cover the territory.
The position offers a salary range of USD 90,000 – 100,000 per year, reflecting the breadth of strategic HR partnership and hands-on support required across locations with significant travel.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employees, Regional Directors, General Managers, and both operational and support partners.
- Conduct engagement and development visits to gauge employee experience and morale, identify opportunities, and recognize achievements.
- Address employee relations concerns promptly, conduct investigations, and partner with leadership to resolve issues.
- Adhere to HR and Employee Relations protocols for issue escalation and resolution.
- Lead engagement initiatives such as events, surveys, recognition programs, and milestone celebrations.
- Support change management and implement new HR strategies, programs, and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional HR teams including Employee Relations, Compliance, Safety, Legal, Learning & Development, and Recruitment.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards while mitigating litigation risk.
- Utilize HR data and metrics to inform business decisions and report progress to senior leadership.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws (EEO, Wage & Hour, ADA, FMLA) and ensure accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Travel required across the designated territory, approximately 75 – 85% of the time.
- Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
