Job Description
Saab Aerospace Systems is seeking an on site Human Resources Business Partner at our West Lafayette, Indiana campus. This role provides HR support to employees and leaders, partners with HR Centers of Excellence to implement company wide initiatives, and oversees the employee lifecycle and high volume recruiting. The position is onsite with a salary range of USD 92,000 to 115,000 per year and requires up to 15 percent travel. Responsibilities
- Serve as the HR resource for the West Lafayette location, delivering guidance to employees, supervisors, and local leaders across multiple shifts
- Partner with HR COEs and local site leadership to implement and support company wide initiatives in areas such as performance management, talent development, total rewards and recognition, talent acquisition and retention, leave management, workforce planning, and policy compliance
- Drive employee relations strategies, coach supervisors on best practices, and assist or lead investigations in coordination with Labor Relations as needed
- Train new leaders on Saab HR practices, systems, and processes to support their integration into teams
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations and reporting requirements
- Represent Saab as an HR ambassador by participating in industry groups, networking events, and relevant professional development opportunities
- Oversee the employee lifecycle, including professional development
- Provide back up support for the local Recruiter, handling high volume recruiting and onboarding at the site
- Collaborate with the HR team to build local workforce development pipelines
- Participate in panel interviews as needed

- Provide backup support for the site HR Leader as needed
- Available to travel up to 15 percent of the time
- Undertake other projects and tasks as assigned to support HR and manufacturing operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field, with 7+ years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in an HR generalist or business partner role)
- Defense industry experience is a plus
- Strong HR generalist knowledge including talent acquisition, employee lifecycle management, employee relations, engagement, workforce planning, performance management, and HR program deployment
- Solid understanding of labor laws and HR best practices
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems; Workday experience is a plus
- Critical thinking and proven problem solving abilities with sound judgment and fair decision making
- Demonstrated initiative and drive for results
- Ability to build relationships, advocate for team members, partner with managers, provide HR guidance, and coach leaders on people management
- Strong communication, problem solving, adaptability, and collaboration skills
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align HR initiatives with business goals and drive continuous improvement
