Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist / HR Business Partner II position at KanPak LLC is an on-site role in Penn Yan, NY. The role provides administrative and operational HR support, payroll processing, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance within a manufacturing environment, with a Monday–Friday schedule and flexible hours that may extend into the night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for employees seeking HR information or guidance.
  • Assist with weekly payroll activities, including data entry and updates.
  • Plan and execute onboarding processes, including new hire documentation, I-9 and E-Verify compliance, and orientation sessions.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records for personnel, benefits, and medical information.
  • Protect confidentiality and securely handle sensitive employee information.
  • Contribute to HR projects, meetings, and internal communications.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and company sponsored events.
  • Support employee relations matters by providing coaching and counseling to associates or supervisors as needed.
  • Oversee facility access and related administrative procedures.
  • Process separations and maintain associated documentation.
  • Perform general administrative duties and maintain HR documentation.
  • Plan and execute associate engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience is required; a Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of HR experience.
  • Working knowledge of federal and New York State employment laws (for example FMLA, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, EEO).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Technologies

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • HRIS experience (UKG or similar systems).

Schedule & Setting

Location: Penn Yan, New York

On-site role in a manufacturing environment

Days: Monday through Friday

Hours: flexible schedule that may extend into the night shift, with options for a 5:00 am start or a 9:00 pm end

Pay & Benefits

Salary range: USD 62,000 - 75,000 annually
